Time for Tradition

Last weekend we took our annual trip to the Elsinore Pumpkin Patch!!
The kids always have so much fun riding the train,
taking a hayride out to the field and
wandering aimlessly looking for the perfect pumpkin.
Cooper is always more interested in the gourds than the pumpkins!!

RaPtOr RoMp!

Cooper has been so excited for the Raptor Romp every since school began. The students purchase tickets in advance for pizza, drinks, candy, otter pops and the raffle drawings. The evening is full of fun events, eating dinner on the lawn with friends and families, watching each grade perform a great routine and of course the CHICKEN DANCE! After helping in the conncession booth, I take my hat off to the PTA for the wonderful job they do making this evening a success!

Dixie Roundup

This year we planned on joining the Sullivan's at the Dixie Roundup. I picked Cooper up from Kaden's so we could go home and change before the rodeo. On our way home Cooper informed me that he didn't have any cowboy boots and that he would need some to go with his outfit for the night and cowboy dress up at school the next day. I tried to convince him due to time that shoes would be fine and no one would notice. I could tell he had his heart set on boots, but he's such a great kid he just agreed shoes would be fine. My heart was broken and sure enough before I knew it I was headed back to town. I knew Jolley's would be closed but had to give it a try anyway. We pulled up and due to the rodeo crowd they were still opened. Cooper and I jumped out of the car, hurried inside, found the kids boots, grabbed a pair and off we went boots in hand and Cooper grinning from ear to ear thanking me. (Those are definitely the times we live for as mothers) Running late, we rushed in the house to change leaving no time for me to help him find an outfit which didn't matter cuz as I walked out of my room there stood the most handsome young cowboy I had ever seen. I couldn't have dressed him any better myself.

My Little Fish

Cooper has mastered what he thinks is the perfect dive! Without any instruction Cooper decided last year that he was going to teach himself how to dive and two years later he's awesome! WAY TO GO COOPER!!
